Byrne and Partners is pleased to announce the arrival of partner Yvonne Jefferies, who has joined the firm’s commercial litigation team from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert. Yvonne has more than 25 years of expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration in London and Singapore.
Yvonne’s arrival is a key step in the firm’s continued development of its commercial litigation practice, which will now benefit from Yvonne’s particular expertise in complex insurance and reinsurance matters.

About Yvonne Jefferies
Yvonne has acted for major insurers and reinsurers in various multi-jurisdictional multi-million pound disputes. She has lectured and published extensively on insurance and reinsurance law and has played leading roles in some of the largest insurance/reinsurance cases commenced in the English Commercial Court.
Singaporean by birth, Yvonne originally qualified as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore before joining Freshfields in 1985 as a commercial litigator. She became a partner at Clyde & Co, London in 1991 where she specialised in marine, international trade, commodities and insurance matters. Yvonne moved with her team to Barlow Lyde & Gilbert in 1997 where she extended her practice to include complex reinsurance matters. Yvonne is a CEDR accredited mediator.
